JEFF FAUX

ARTISTIC DIRECTOR/ CONDUCTOR

Jeff Faux is Director of Sacred Arts at First Presbyterian Church in Bonita Springs where he oversees a large program that includes ten vocal and instrumental ensembles, The First Academy of Music, and which hosts over 20 concerts per year. He previously served as Assistant Director of the Mastersingers and so brings a deep association with and knowledge of our group. His emphasis on honing the musical skills of the chorus has attracted many new, talented singers to the group. He brings energy and inspiration to the Mastersingers and has worked tirelessly to bring quality performances to our audiences.

Under Jeff’s leadership the Mastersingers have participated in a number of collaborative efforts in Southwest Florida. The Mastersingers have collaborated with the Naples Philharmonic Orchestra on several occasions, Opera Naples and the Charlotte Symphony. In 2010 the chorus was invited to perform with the Star Wars in Concert tour at Germain Arena. On September 11, 2011 Jeff conducted the Naples Philharmonic Orchestra with the Naples Philharmonic Chorus and the Mastersingers in a stirring concert remembering the 10th Anniversary of 9/11.

He is a graduate of Westminster Choir College of Rider University in Princeton, NJ. He served as an adjunct instructor of Music Education at Westminster Choir College and graduated from Michigan State University with a Masters in Choral Conducting.

In January 2016, the Greenwave Singers of Fort Myers High School were selected as the only choir to perform at the President’s Concert of the Florida Music Educator’s Association.  The highlight of the year was performing Paul Mealor’s  Stabat Mater and Jubilate Deo (world premiere) in Carnegie Hall
